ABOUT SITA DIGITAL PUBLIC SERVICE AWARDS
The GovTech conference is an annual ICT event on the SITA calendar of events.
It is a strategic forum which attracts more than 2200 delegates from all spheres of Government, IT Industry and civil society who come together on a multi layered platform that enables connecting, learning, sharing and collaborating in order to improve service delivery to the South African Citizen through the provision of ICT solutions and other innovations.
PURPOSE OF THE DIGITAL PUBLIC SERVICE AWARDS
The Digital Public Service Awards recognise and celebrate exceptional achievements in the public sector, highlighting the innovative use of technology to enhance service delivery, improve efficiency, and foster a more inclusive and connected government. These awards honour individuals and teams who demonstrate excellence in digital transformation, setting new standards for public service innovation.

NOMINEE ELIGIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION
The Digital Public Service Awards will be open to all members of the South African (SA) public as follows:
- ) Government officials: All government institutions i.e. national departments, provincial departments and local government.
- ) State Owned Companies: All state institutions.
- ) NGOs and NPO: All non-governmental and non-profit organisations including cooperatives.
- ) General public: Any member of the South African public.
- ) Private companies: ICT, non ICT and sole proprietors.
- ) Students: Registered students at any of the SA higher education institutions.
- ) Learners: Registered learners at any of the SA basic education institutions.

1st Prize
R 110 000
2nd Prize

3rd Prize
R 33 000
The first prize per category will be R110 000.00. The winner will in addition receive a certificate and a trophy.
The second and third prizes will be R55 000.00 and R33 000.00 respectively. Each winner (of second and third prize) will also receive a certificate but no trophy.
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
- The Awards are open to any organisation.
- Organisations throughout South Africa may enter any category open to them.
- All applications need to be supported by relevant documentation.
- The Judges reserve the right to cancel any category due to insufficient entries, or for any other reason, and the decision of the judging panel is final. All results will be audited by an external accredited auditing firm approved by SITA. The decision of the judges will be final and binding and no correspondence in this regard will be entered into.
- Entrants will be published on the GovTech website and in industry specific publications with the exception of confidential information. The information received by the organisers may be submitted in its entirety to the publisher of any industry specific publication, both digital and printed, for inclusion in the publication and entrants should be mindful of submitting information that might be sensitive or confidential as it will be in the public domain.
- Entrants are reminded that the information they submit will be accepted VERBATIM by the publishers and therefore should be checked and approved by all parties prior to submission.
- Entrants should be aware that their information will undergo an editing process, necessary to ensure that both entrants and category winners can be accommodated in published material and presentation applications.
- All submissions must be submitted online via the GovTech website.
- All photographs must be labelled and titled.
- Entries must be submitted on or before the final day for submissions.
- Winners will be announced at the GovTech event.
- SITA reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Awards Gala Banquet or change the venue for any unavoidable reason. All changes will be communicated effectively.
- There are NO FEES payable for entry.
